ELMO TAYLOR
is a Rock, Folk, and Blues Duo featuring David Rhodes and Sarah Greene.
The musical styles range from nostalgic acoustic folk, to driving electric
rock, to virtuosic blues and sometimes you'll hear a little latin flavor.

Sarah
Greene plays the Electric Bass, Acoustic Guitar, and some occasional horn
(French Horn that is) with Elmo Taylor. This half of the duo contributes
a few original songs, sings lead and back-up vocals, and provides much
of the musical arrangements.
Sarah
grew up surrounded by music. She began Suzuki violin at age three, began
horn at age eleven, and picked up guitar and bass guitar in high school.
Sarah received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Horn performance from
the University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music and the Indiana
University School of Music respectively. In the last several years, she
has focused more energy on guitar and bass guitar as well as songwriting - while she continues her career as a freelance horn player. Her collaboration with David Rhodes, guitarist & songwriter, was a
welcome inspiration and led to the formation of ELMO TAYLOR.
David
Rhodes plays Acoustic and Electric Guitar, and provides most of the original
songs for Elmo Taylor. He has been playing guitar and writing songs for
over 40 years, but only recently has he shared his talent. Some of his influences include: The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, James Taylor and The Eagles.
David's
songwriting talent spans from folk ballads to provocative blues to good-old
rock & roll. His thoughtful, meaningful and clever lyrics can lighten
your heart, touch your soul, and make you laugh
