All My Dreams

©2005 Elmo Taylor Recordings

Written By: David Rhodes

I sit in this dark room and watch the smoke
Curl and dance up out of sight
Or am I really watching all my dreams
Disappear in this cold night?

On the TV there’s an old love movie
That flickers in and out of sight
Or am I really watching all my dreams
And none can hold up to the light?

Do you ever think of me?
Do you ever wonder where I am?
Just a lost soul in a mad world
Do you ever think of me?

I open up a dusty tattered book
And stare at faded photographs
Or am I really seeing all my dreams
That can’t escape my past

The last rays of a distant setting sun
Reflect off something far away
Or am I really seeing all my dreams
As they slowly slip away?

Do you ever think of me?
Do you ever wonder where I am?
Just a lost soul in a mad world
Do you ever think of me?

In my hand a drink holds me
That will take away my fears
Or am I really watching all my dreams
Run slowly down my face as tears?

Do you ever think of me?
Do you ever wonder where I am?
Just a lost soul in a mad world
Do you ever think of me?
Do you ever think of me?
